Erp Assimialtion Levers: the Case of a Manufacturing Food Company

چکیده
Despite the fact that ERP systems have become the defacto standard in several industries, they still represent a major issue for both practitioners and researchers. ERP systems failures can have different degrees and can occur at different instances of the ERP life cycle. System underutilization has been argued to be one of the primary causes of ERP failure. This raises questions about the system's assimilation during the post-implementation stage. Using a theoretical model grounded in the complex innovation diffusion and the institutional theories, the influences of the identified factors were explored in a food manufacturing company. Our findings have revealed that institutional pressures, top management support, competent IT team and consultant effectiveness are major levers for ERP assimilation.
